These Log files are stored in your project folder and can be easily shared with others for troubleshooting purposes. For example, expanding the ‘Create Tunnel Template’ command shows us where the positions and which templates were created. Expanding some commands can give us a greater understanding of what was created using each command.

To access the logs of each session, all we have to do is select the specific transaction and all commands (and sub commands) are shown.Īccessing the most recent transaction, I can see that my colleague has created a tunnel, created tunnel templates and performed various edits. These files are saved every time you save your project in reverse chronological order. To access the history log, we can navigate to the Survey tab and under ‘ Field Data ’, we can find the ‘ History Log View ' command.Īnd in the command, if we navigate to the bottom left we can find the log files. Let's take the following project as an example: this is a project that I received from a fellow colleague but I'm curious as to what they already worked on, so I can carry forward with my operations. Just a thought, but it would save us a ton of money in time management at least twice a year.Ever come back after the weekend to your TBC project and have trouble recalling what you already computed and which processes you have performed? I hate to admit it, but I definitely do! Well with today’s tip we can see how you can easily keep track of all the functions you performed in a TBC project using a very handy tool called the ‘History Log’. After that there are emails and phone calls galore trying to figure out who actually needs to detach a license and who can work off of the server. We all have our own work laptops, but as things break or crash throughout the year, there are sometimes some laptop swaps happening mid season and it is a pain to track the PC name (especially if people are changing them). But, when looking at where a license is pulled, all we can see is the desktop name. We have ours set so that there is always a least one license "stuck" on the server so that nobody is truly SOL in the field.

Is it a perfect ribbon? No but I know where everything is.Īnother thing that I would like associated with the Trimble ID is who has a virtual server license detached. The only reason I kept moving forward with it is because I am so used to where I like things, my workflow benefits from it. Only to go through each individual ribbon and change what needed changing based on my screenshots as well as implementing the new commands into the ribbon. I ended up taking screenshots of each individual ribbon, pasted them into word, completely uninstalling v5.4 and reinstalling it. I tried resetting the ribbon and toolbar, but it wouldn't reset it back to original v5.4 setup. Missing icons, missing commands, the works. There were so many changes to commands (whether it be icons, new commands, etc.) that it wrecked havoc on TBC. FLEXIBLE LICENSING OPTIONS Whether your business requires a single license or a multi-user enterprise license, Trimble Business Center offers flexible licensing options to meet your requirements: USB hardware licenses. I imported my custom ribbon from v5.32 into v5.4 and man was I disappointed. 0 port SUPPORTED LANGUAGES Chinese Simplified Czech Dutch English US English UK Finnish. It worked well enough if you remembered to do it, until v5.4 came out.

I started exporting my ribbon/toolbar and importing upon new version updates. When v5.0 first came out, I changed mostly the CAD ribbon to resemble what I could remember from HCE v4.xxx plus a mix of what worked for me for quicker access. Since the birth of v5.0, I have been customizing my ribbons.
